About Clementine

My Story so far..

I am a painter and photographer who captures natural beauty and the nuances of human endeavour. I use the versatility of paint and the vivacity of colour to create a peaceful or emotive image.

My surroundings, and the beauty that can be seen inspires me, but so does reality, and all it show us. When I am photographing I look to capture quirky moments that may go unnoticed in our busy lives, such as avocets racing home, or two dog walkers having a chat whilst their pooches impatiently ignore them. With paint I like to experiment with colour to reveal a stimulating scene in colours that we are not accustomed too.

I have traveled in Africa and was privileged to photograph some of the charismatic wildlife and drama at the heart of conservation. In Kenya I witnessed an attempt to remove elephant tusks to reduce the likelihood of poaching and captured the dazed and grumpy elephant waking up after a knock out of anaesthetic.
